Williams Confectionary Ltd. (WCL) is the pioneer biscuit manufacturer in Sri Lanka. Founded by the Wickramasinghe Family in 1939 with a staff of ten, its origin traces even further to a family proprietorship, manufacturing home made biscuits and cookies in 1926. 1957 the factory was automated . We now operate on three complete production lines.

Now with a workforce of nearly 5000 people, WCL is a major shareholder of Ceylon Biscuits Ltd. (Manufacturers of Munchee Biscuits) It also has a market share of 2% of the entire Indian biscuit market.

A biscuit and cookie production line is composed of the mixing machine, horizontal dough-flattening machines, cutting-into shape machines, ovens, cooling conveyors, biscuit finishing machines, and packing consoles, etc.
