The dried flower bud of the tropical tree, Syzygium aromaticum is an important spice of the East. The Clove trees grown in our spice gardens produce high quality harvests and are one of our main exports.

Cloves are used in sweets, syrups, and cooked desserts and also in cooking fish and meat.

Nutmeg

Wichy Nutmeg, collected from the best-grown Spice Gardens is packed in bulk quantities with or without shells and in powder form.

The seed of the tree Myristica fragrance, is an important spice from antiquity. Available whole or ground, it's cultivated in our spice gardens and harvested as an export quality crop.
Used to flavour baked food, pudding sauces, vegetables, processed meat and beverages, many cooks like to grate the whole nutmeg at the kitchen table for fresh flavour.

Mace

This is the dried meaty shell of the nutmeg fruit, Myristica fragrance.
Mace is used in pudding sauces, vegetables and beverages for fresh flavour.

Pepper comes from the climbing plant, Piper nigrum and is the most widely used spice of the world. Black pepper is the dried green peppercorns.
Used in almost all hot flavoured dishes, a speck of pepper is good with other spices in spice cakes, pumpkin pie and similar baked food.

Cardamom

The dried seed of the perennial plant, Elettaria cardomomum is one of the most widely used spices in the world. The Cardamom plant grows naturally in the rainforests of Sri Lanka and is cultivated in our special spice gardens for commercial markets and domestic consumption.
Used in pickling fruits, spicy sweets and syrups, cardamom adds a delightful taste to cooked desserts, chocolate mixtures and sweet potatoes.

Cinnamon

The bark of the tree, Cinnamomum zeylanica is Sri Lanka's pride spice. The world's best quality cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka. And Wichy Cinnamon comes to you from Sri Lanka's best Spice Gardens. Hand picked, selected and sorted carefully, Wichy Cinnamon is available in 3 grades; Continental, Mexican and Hamburg and 4 forms; Cinnamon Quills, Cut Cinnamon, Cinnamon Quillings and Cinnamon Powder.

Cinnamon Quills of grades C5 Special, C5, C4, M5, H1 and H2 cut to 1050 mm (42 inch) length are packed in cylindrical bags, gunny covered/ marked and numbered weighing 45.45 kg or 50 kg nett. Bulk Packing: 6.5 - 7 Metric Tonnes per 20' FCL

Cut Cinnamon of grades C5 Special, C5, M5 and H1 cut to 8 - 20 cm lengths are packed in 40 kg nett in wooden boxes or 15 kg nett in corrugated boxes. Bulk Packing: 150 wooden boxes per 20' FCL

Cinnamon Quillings are packed in 45.45 kg or 50 kg nett gunny bags or 25 kg nett jute gunny bags. Bulk Packing: 5.5 Metric Tonnes per 20' FCL

Cinnamon Powder is available in Bulk quantities as per your requirements in 25 kg or 50 kg 5 ply paper bags with inner poly liner and outer polypropylene bag of 100% Quillings powder 25 kg or 50 kg, 60% Quillings+ 40% Chips, 25% Quillings + 75% Chips and 100% Chips.

Cinnamon is our most important, and is used extensively in baking. Cakes, buns, bread, cookies and pies baked with cinnamon powder are decidedly delicious and tastes heavenly in hot chocolate desserts. Whole stick cinnamon is best when making sugar syrups and pickling vinegar. A bit of cinnamon gives a delightful aroma to beef stews. Hot wine laced with cinnamon is a favourite winter drink in the colder climatic regions.
